Join in on a complimentary guest ski-down each Thursday night throughout the season. Families board the Haymeadow Lift (#1) and then ski down with guides, carrying special glow sticks. A fireworks display on the mountain follows. Families must register and complete a waiver at the Beaver Creek Children's Ski and Snowboard Center. Adults and children must be able to ski or snowboard at level 5 (intermediate) or better and have their own ski or snowboard equipment. The Black Family Ice Rink has become wildly popular—more than 40,000 visitors took to the ice last season. The ice rink is now a year-round amenity, located in the heart of the Village Plaza. Open Daily from 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. Skate rentals are available. A special Zamboni (with its own luxurious accommodations at the end of the rink) prepares the ice every three hours. Look for Sunday's Disco Skate from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with a DJ and light show and Tuesday's figure skating shows at 6:00pm!
Designated areas on Beaver Creek Mountain are just for skiing and snowboarding kids. Here they can check out a hibernating bear cave, an old ghost town, an ancient Indian burial ground, an abandoned mine, and more!
Experience twilight entertainment at 10,000 feet with Vail's day and night activity center atop Vail Mountain. You'll ride the Eagle Bahn Gondola to the top of Adventure Ridge and choose from five dining options, enjoy great views and a host of great activities for kids. Adventure Ridge>
Listen to stories about the old west and the first settlers. You'll hear about the Ute Indians, cowboys, miners, and ranchers. From 6:00 to 8:00pm on Monday evenings at the firepits in the Village.
Dogsled tours are available in the morning and the afternoon in the Cordillera area west of Beaver Creek.
There are two people per sled. The tour lasts approximately two hours and is about seven miles long. Transportation is included.
